Basic K9 1st Aid for Handlers & EMS

General Information

This course can be taught as a very basic 1 hour course or as a many as 4 hours. The additional time allows for presenting examples, additional question time as well as practice time for testing items such CCPR. 

Course Topics

  • Basic K9 1st Aid

    • Wounds/Bleeding & Bandaging

    • Toxins/Venoms & Treatment

    • Fractures & Splinting/Bandaging

    • +/- K9 carries (as time allows)

  • Basic K9 Life Support

    • Cortical, CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CCRP)
